We'd like to thank the alumni brothers who submitted alumni news items to be featured in the recent issue of Sigma Nu's, including Viren Vasudeva '06 who reports "I am currently doing a residency in neurosurgery at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Next year I will be moving on to do a fellowship in spine surgery also at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. It’s hard to imagine that it’s been 10 years since we blew the social budget on that damn mariachi band and their broken margarita machines."

I cannot believe that I've already been retired from PPG Industries for 22 years. Time really flies when you are having fun! I'm still involved with numerous community activities, and also enjoy following our grandchildren who are active in collegiate and high school sports. My favorite hobby is spending time with my wife doing bike rides on rail trails.

I am the Commander of Task Force Gunfighter, a multi-functional rotary wing aviation task force currently deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. We arrived here in July last year.  I'm looking forward to getting home and back with my wife and kids.

This is a picture from January that my wingman took while returning from a mission in the northern portion of our area of operations.
