Beta Rho keeps busy this fall!

by Scott MacGuidwin '19

The Brothers at Sigma Nu are always up to something. Here’s a snapshot of the things we’ve been doing thus far:

Lead Retreat: Before school started, LEAD Chair Conrad Mascarenhas '18 organized a weekend retreat on the Jersey Shore, going over expectations and goals for the coming year. Topics discussed include fraternity image, social calendar, community service efforts, and alumni engagement.

Career Panel: Alumni Relations Chair Scott MacGuidwin '19 and his committee hosted a career panel with Ernie Barsamian '81 and Jason Littman '14 to discuss their entrepreneurial ventures. Ernie discussed pursuing an MBA as an Engineering undergrad, and starting his own company later in his career. Jason discussed startup culture and creating a product straight out of college.

Community Service: Community Service Chair Justin Bean '19 and his committee recently hosted a charity Comedy Show starring Without a Net and Simply Chaos, with proceeds going to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We raised $700 from this event.

Athletics: The brothers have additionally begun to compete in Flag Football against other fraternities on campus.
