The Sohn Conference is the largest investment conference in the world, featuring presentations from the likes of Bill Ackman, David Einhorn, and Jeff Gundlach. The conference is organized to raise money for the Sohn Conference Foundation, which serves to fight pediatric cancer. Dylan entered the Sohn Conference Idea Contest, a stock pitch competition open primarily to hedge fund managers and MBA students. The contest receives several hundred entries, which are judged by investors like Joel Greenblatt, Seth Klarman, and Larry Robbins. The winner gets to present their idea in front of the entire conference (approximately 3000 people). Dylan won the contest for a presentation for a long investment in eBay and a corresponding short investment in PayPal.
